Female students tend to do better than male students on reading exams. The data used to create this project came from Kaggle. The data for student reading exam scores by parental education level, gender, and test preparation was mapped in the form of a slab/ridge graph to show the reading exam scores. The outcome variable for this graph was the reading exam scores, with some covariates being the gender of the student and their test preparation. Students who were female and completed the test preparation were more likely to score higher than others. On average, female students do 9% better than male students, plus or minus 3%.
